Dear madam/sir,
I bought ECI3 ( Serial number 201673) in Jan 2003 in Beijing. Up to now it has been sent back for repair THREE times:
From last June, the eci-3 made noise when volume was adjusted; then it was sent back for repair. From last August the DVD input totally did not work- no signals received from it and volume light alway gleamed even when power-off; then sent back. From this March the left channel become noisy again when adjusting volume. At the beginning the noise could be removed by heightening and lowering volume several times. But the noise becomes bigger and bigger and right channel began being noisy too. I found no way to remove it. Then, sent back!
I want to tell you that I am very much dissatisfied with the quality and service. I am not a heavy users – only make it 5-6 hours running each week. However, each repair cost me half a day for taking it from/to the local store by taxi and one month of awaiting. I complained to the storekeeper verbally and wrote my comment on distributor’s web forum. To my surprise, nobody shows positive attitude to help me.
For example, a clerk each time said, “we sold many eci amps. No one has such a problem.” The forum manager never answers my question with straight forward manner. A recent answer is “Though the problem of this friend is somewhat incidental, we have reported the fact to the manufacturer. However, Electropaniet is doing business in global market with many factors to consider and balance. They eventually introduced new version ECI with some improvement in functionality”. What a funny story!!! I am a little white rat used for your test to new product?
Again I must say this is a really awful experience. I have bought both cheap Chinese home appliances and expensive ones with international reputation. None of them, except Electropaniet, makes me so disappointed.
I want you to take necessary actions immediately to ensure the same problem never happens to me again. I believe you are able to do that, if CUSTOMER really matters and if CHINESE MARKET really matters.
Thanks for reading my letter.
Yours, sincerely
