I have used so many speakers in my life it would be impossible to list them, the *only* reason I produced my own was because I reached a point where speakers were holding back my development in the areas that are most important to me - information, i.e. musical information.
Information is often confused with detail, often just ramp up the tweeter if you want detail. Musical information is something else, it tells you about the musicians, it tells you about the recording engineer, it tells you about how the recording was done, it tells you about the acoustic, but the magic is when it tells you about the emotional content of the music.
Recording engineers want detail which is why their speaker choices present and past have been mostly so horrendous. As I said I could not put up with Tannoys, nor can I put up with JBLs of whatever ilk. I had to put up with enough of them monitoring on the foldback desks for large PAs.作者: jp 时间: 2012-9-20 03:25 PM
